O’Brien Deck

JBE worked with Ms. O’Brien on a replacement deck for her residence near the University of Oregon. The original deck was very small and an enlarged footprint was desired. The home is sited on a steeply sloping lot and the leading edge of the deck is some 16 feet in the air. JBE designed a larger deck that adds functionality to the interior space it is attached to, is attractive and is large enough to accommodate Gracie’s dinner parties. The detailing for this deck resulted in an exterior space that is comfortable with amazing views of the surrounding neighborhood.
